My walker and my flowers

My walker. This is the one thing I couldn't live without. Notice on the left. That is a reacher. My sister bought it for me because I'm not supposed to bend over. For 12 weeks there is a danger of dislocating my hip.

On the right is my grocery bag. That is how I get my phone, notepad, cigarettes, etc from room to room.

I actually went outside a couple of days ago to take pictures of my flowers. Here's the small garden in the front. The big green bush in the front was purple in the spring. The daylilly's bloom is huge.

I'm not in the blaming mood anymore - see yesterday's post. So I just want to say HI to everyone. I haven't had a pain pill since midnight, 14 hours. The pain isn't so bad anymore, the butt is no longer discolored. Heal *puts hand on own forehead* heal.

*BIG HUGS* You must be so nervous. I know I would be.

That reacher sounds like a great idea. Does it work? It could also be used to whack peeps :-)

I love those little yellow flowers with your day lillies. What are they? I want to put some in my garden.

*giggles* at the funny face in the garden :-)

Ok, now lean forward and place your forehead against the screen.

*reaches out hand and places on screen* Heal! Heal!

Nookie - I think it worked. My leg is healed!!!!

The plant is a Moonbeam Coreospis (I think that's how you speel it). It grows like magic. Very easy to care for! And it's light and airy.

The reacher is called a Gopher "As seen on TV". It is amazing. We tried putting a light bulb into it and it was great. It's made to be gentle enough for a light bulb but sturdy enough to pick up weight too. It has a lock so you don't have to keep squeezing it.

You can't bend over? *giggle*

I'm sorry. I'm glad that you are able to somewhat get around now.
I? totally dug the picture of your ass. That scar was cool too.
*smooch*

What's that in the first pic? A big-screen TV? Cool.

Seriously, I'm glad you're semi-mobile. I have a lot of respect for people who pick themselves up, dust themselves off and get back to it.

Nice walker, but do you ever get to have a motorized cart? I used to work in a pharmacy that had a home health care department. One of the other pharmacy techs and I used to have electric scooter races --- at least until the owner unexpectedly arrived and found us burning rubber down the vitamins aisle.

Thanks for the name of the flowers Lasann. I'm going to see if I can find them here. They are just so pretyt and I love yellow flowers.

How long will you need the walker? I like Kim's idea that you decorate it. Add some bumper stickers etc. *giggle*

Who's the guy who is buried in your garden? Love the big screen TV. I like the walkers that come with a built-in seat so you can sit down when you need to.

Oh, and I had some red moonbeam coreopsis & it died after the first season (never came back up). *angry eyes*

I typed a response to all of you yesterday and it got eaten.

Carey, no I can't *sigh*

Seana, the big screen is the second most important thing to Dbf, after his computer.

Nutz, *smooch* back at ya!

HD, he took me to the grocery store late at night. I drove the motorized cart. Those things go way toooo slow. I did manage to cut a couple of corners too sharp - didn't cause any messes in the aisles tho.

Kim - maybe I'll paint it like my wall!! And, the red moonbeams don't thrive well. I tried one before and it died. I have one here in the back yard which I planted last year and it came back up. The yellow ones, on the other hand, grow almost wild for me. I planted one at my house 7 years ago and it got so big I've sectioned it twice. The first time I moved two sections to other places in my gardens. The second time I brought two pieces up here. The picture is one of the two.

Puffy, I love additions to gardens. This silly man is a sprinkler. It makes a fine mist. I have a sleeping cat and a turtle. I don't have pink flamingos, however. Not yet anyway. I wonder if the neighborhood comittee would fine me if I got the flamingo?

That funny face is a sprinkler? How cute and clever. I must look into those. A sleeping cat would be nice in my garden.

Oh, you can get fast carts, believe me! I think the grocery store just provides slow ones on purpose...
